Here's hoping FFG doesn't make WizWar a CCG. This would immediately discourage me and probably many others from buying it. However, looking at FFG's current trend with CCG's, it seems they're getting away from them and going more towards LCG (living card games) where they put out expansion decks, but you know exactly what you're getting in them.
Anyway, I hope they just put it out as a normal game with predefined cards and follow up with expansions just like it was sold before. All other methods seem to basically just be ways of draining more money from the customers for no additional reward. |

There could be expansions that make the most of a KILLING game, and others that make the most of a TREASURE FETCH (capture the flag) game.
The Monster and Artifact themed expansions are obvious choices, although the expansions from which they originated were actually less theme-specific. |
As mentioned in previous threads, to find a good fit with the personalities of the people you're playing with (aggressive / peaceful / zany) it's often nice to remove cards from the deck to promote a certain style of play. ==> Even if Munchkin-style theme expansions is not a part of the 2011 plan, it would be cool if the instructions had recommendations about deck balance.
Looking forward to the next batch of news
PS For the record, I vote that CCG is a bad idea. At heart, Wizwar is and should remain a board game. |

| I'm in complete agreement with Tokyo Yank. The CCG idea just completely warps the game, and not in a good way. |

I'm just catching up on wizwar and saw Tom's post from November. Does that meen there has been a 3rd expansion set sitting there for years and we never knew about it? Has this been the first time it's been mentioned or did I miss a post somewhere in the past? They could name it "Wiz-War the Lost Expansion Set"

Apparently thats the case Al, a 3rd expansion set that was never published.
As far as I know, this is also the first time there was ever any mention of it. |
